🌱 Grounding: Becoming One With the Earth, One With Yourself

Rooted

We live in a world where everything is moving fast. Notifications, bills, energy, people’s opinions — it all feels like it’s pulling us out of our own skin, out of our own center. Yet, there’s a wisdom older than all of this, a wisdom found under our feet. It’s called grounding.

Grounding is more than standing barefoot on the earth; it’s remembering that you and the earth are made of the same stuff. It’s about pressing your toes into the soil and letting the heartbeat of the planet sync with yours. It’s about touching your hair — yes, your hair — with intention, remembering that your hair is an antenna for energy, spirit, and memory. Every time you touch it with love, oil it with care, braid it with intention, you are sending messages to your higher self.

🪨 Staying Out of the Clouds, Staying Down Here

People often ask me, “How do I stay balanced? How do I stay out of the clouds?”

And my answer is simple but deep: you don’t have to leave the clouds behind — you just have to stay rooted while you’re up there. Think of a tree. Its branches can reach into the sky, but its roots are deep. It’s the roots that let it dance with the wind without falling over.

To ground yourself:

Walk barefoot whenever you can. Feel the texture of dirt, grass, sand. Let the earth remind you that you are safe and supported. Touch your crown (your hair) with intention. Massage your scalp while saying affirmations: I am here. I am rooted. I am balanced. Breathe deep into your belly. Slow, intentional breaths anchor your spirit into your body. Sit under a tree. Trees hold ancient energy. Lean your back against one and imagine your worries draining into the soil while wisdom rises up through your spine.

⚖️ Balancing Spiritual and Human

This is the question we all whisper: “How do I balance being a spiritual being and just being a being?”

Doctors might label the swings between spiritual highs and grounded lows as “bipolar.” I call it something else. I call it being in the middle. I call it medium. Half here, half there. Half earth, half sky.

The key is not to choose one or the other — but to honor both. When you’re praying, meditating, receiving downloads, allow yourself to go high. When you’re cooking, cleaning, working, loving your family, allow yourself to be fully here. Your spirit chose this body, this life, this earth. To be spiritual is also to be human.

Grounding is the bridge between the two. It lets you be cosmic and concrete at the same time.

Worry Free

🕊️ A Simple Grounding Ritual

Step outside barefoot. Close your eyes. Take three deep breaths. With each exhale, imagine stress draining from your feet into the soil. Place your hands on your hair or your crown. Speak out loud: I am rooted. I am present. I am safe. My spirit is vast, but I am here now. Feel the earth rise to meet you. Feel your spirit settle into your body.

Do this every day — even if it’s just for one minute — and you’ll notice your mind feels clearer, your heart steadier, and your life more balanced.

🌍 Closing Thoughts

You are not “too much” for this earth. You are not “too spiritual” for this world. You are exactly where you are meant to be — a bridge between heaven and earth, between spirit and matter. Grounding isn’t about shrinking your spirit; it’s about giving your spirit a home inside your body, here on this planet.

When you stand on the earth barefoot, touch your hair with intention, breathe, and remind yourself who you are, you’re not just grounding. You’re remembering.
